A COVID Courtship

 We worked for the same company since 2015 but really didn’t know each other very well. In March of 2020, as the pandemic sent everyone home from the office, Cliff got summoned to Tracey’s townhome in Buckhead to help set up her remote workspace. He stuck around and chatted. It was the most conversation we had since we met. We got to know each other a little better.

Cliff became a regular at Tracey’s Friday evening “Covid Cocktail” gatherings, which were meant to help offset the lack of socialization we were all suddenly experiencing. Eventually, the cocktail hours subsided and it became just the two of us. On May 29, 2020, after a lasagna dinner, we watched the riots in Atlanta on TV. Cliff asked what was happening and Tracey jokingly responded “rallies and violence.” Cliff said “I mean between us.” We both knew we were falling in love and that day set us on a path to finding the most amazing kind of love on this planet.

On May 6, 2023, we will enter into a covenant with God and we will promise God that this love will last until the end of time. It will be the start of a marriage written in the stars long ago. We are thankful to our family and friends who have been there with us from the beginning. We dedicate this day to all of you who will help us celebrate the start of our new life together. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your support. We love all of you with all of our hearts. May God bless you all in the biggest way possible!

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.
